The prayer begins with the sign of the cross and the community renews its participation in the life of the Trinity. Followed by a short time of singing and spontaneous praising.
The psalm is prayed alternating between two sections. This could be followed by a longer time of songs, free praise and lively spontaneous prayers.
A suitable passage from the Bible is read. A time of silent recollection for a few minutes could follow.
Many could share their insights during this time. But in a more formal setting one person could be asked to share the reflection.
A prayer of response using the meditations or prayers of a saint will surely lead us towards greater depth in spiritual life.
The group, at this stage, spontaneously articulates various needs and all join in interceding for these intentions.
With the Lord’s Prayer and blessing the prayer comes to a close.
Exclusively kneaded together!
We have to learn to pray: as if it were learning this art ever anew from the lips of the Divine Master himself, like the first disciples: “Lord, teach us to pray!” (Lk.11:1). Delve in...

2. PSALTER - Ps. 27 [1] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold d of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? [2] When evildoers assail me, to devour my flesh, my adversaries and foes, they shall stumble and fall.
[1] Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. [2] One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
[1] For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent, he will set me high upon a rock. [2] And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. .. ...

2. PSALTER - Ps. 99, 100 [1] Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the lands! [2] The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
[1] The LORD is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. [2] Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he!
[1] Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. [2] Extol the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!
[1] Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called on his name. They cried to the LORD, and he answered them. [2] He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the statutes that he gave them. .. ...

2. PSALTER - Ps. 42 [1] As a deer longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for you, O God. [2] My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
[1] My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me continually, “Where is your God?” [2] These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I went with the throng, and led them in procession to the house of God, with glad shouts and songs of thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.
[1] Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my savior and my God. [2] My soul is cast down within me, therefore I remember you from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.
[1] Deep calls to deep at the thunder of your cataracts; all your waves and your billows have gone over me. [2] By day the LORD commands his steadfast love; and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. .. ...

2. PSALTER - Ps. 8 [1] O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! [2] You whose glory above the heavens is chanted by the mouth of babies and infants, you have founded a bulwark because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
[1] When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have established; [2] what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
[1] Yet you have made him little less than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor. [2] You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
[1] all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, [2] the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the sea. .. ...
You are a fire that burns eternally yet never consumed, a fire that consumes my selflove.
Late have I loved you, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new, late have I loved you!
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love;
Stay with me Lord, that I may stay with You. If You want me to be faithful, stay with me Lord.
To toil and not seek for reward, save the reward of knowing that I am doing Your will.
Gladly to bear my purgatory here. To be joyful in tribulations. To walk the narrow way that leads to life.
I am not like Thomas, wounds I cannot see, but can plainly call thee Lord and God as he;
You loved me after you had gone to prepare a place for me; therefore you came back to me.
Great Work!
